The clearer the instructions, the smoother the arrival
Most "where do we park?" messages happen between 9pm and midnight, when guests are tired, the host is asleep, and the booking platform's auto-translate is butchering the door code. A printable PDF — sent in the booking confirmation, then opened on the guest's phone at the door — pre-empts most of it.
How to use the printable
- Send the PDF in the pre-arrival message. Most platforms attach PDFs in the booking confirmation thread.
- One photo is worth ten lines. A 30-second iPhone shot of the lockbox saves you an arrival-night message exchange.
- Keep door codes in section 3, not on the cover. Cover screenshots get shared more freely than mid-document content.
- Re-generate per booking if codes rotate. Generate a per-booking PDF and attach to the confirmation.

- What image formats?
- PNG and JPG. Read in-browser, embedded directly into the PDF.
- Max image size?
- A few MB. HEIC isn't supported — convert to JPG first.
